Marcus Doucet grew up in Bayou La Batre, cooking in his grandmother's kitchen before he was tall enough to see over the stove.
He spent twelve years in kitchens from New Orleans to Pensacola before coming home to the Mississippi coast to open Gulf Coast Table's kitchen.
His food starts at the docks: he buys directly from three boats he's known for years, and the menu changes when they do.
